TRAVEL REPORT

Public Safety and Security Command Center
(PSSCC)
Minor Fieldtrip
This day, I went on a
company visit to:
PSCC (Public
Safety and Security Command Center)
Ecoland Sandawa
Last August
25, 2012, minor fieldtrip was made possible at PSSCC (Public Safety and
Security Command Center), Ecoland
Sandawa. We were introduced to PSCC’s personnel and we were brought to the data
room where you will see big screens which are connected to CCTV cameras of the
whole davao.
What I Learned?
We were introduced
to the person who acts as the eagle eye of Davao City. His work is to monitor
the situations seen on the screens and if he caught any suspicious thing, he
will make a move to prevent it to become a crime. The government really spends
a big budget for the Security and Command Center and I can say that the budget
used is really worth it. They also have personnel who were receiving calls from
the people calling the emergency hotline. They also showed us some videos of
accidents and crimes and I really can’t forget it. Those are the stuffs that I
really hate. The PSCC is really focused on
the safety and security of the Dabawenyos. They respond to a certain situation as soon as
they receive a report.
What I Liked?
Questions
that I asked were answered somehow and I can see that they really tried their
best to give me the best answer. And I definitely like our company visit in
PSCC and I don’t have any thing to dislike.
Appendix
Recommendation:
For the next batch, I recommend the PSSCC (Public Safety and Security Command Center) because you will really learn a lot about their operations. And you can ask whatever question you want and they will really try there best to answer you.
